Workshop on Ocean Acidification Research in China was Held in Shanghai

During April 28-29, 2016, the Workshop on Ocean Acidification Research in China was held in SKLEC-NIVA Centre for Marine and Coastal Research, State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC), East China Normal University, Shanghai.

 
This workshop was hosted by Prof. Richard Bellerby, the Distinguished Thousand Talents National Expert Professor, and Prof. DAI Minhan, from Xiamen University. There were some keynote speakers as well, Dr. Prof. Richard Feely and Dr. Libby Jewett, from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Dr. Jan Newton, from University of Washington, Prof. Fei Chai, from University of Maine and Director of Second Institute of Oceanography, SOA, Prof. Liqi Chen, Director of Third Institute of Oceanography, SOA. More than 60 scientists and students from home and abroad participated in this workshop with 15 scientific presentations.
 
All the participants had hot discussion on the ocean acidification (OA) research in China, and this workshop provided an international platform for OA researchers for further cooperation.
